The image looked great in the viewfinder or on your phone. But now it's not the scene that you remembered. That blue sea is grey and lifeless. The sky is a blank blob. The image seems lifeless.

This 1 1/2 hour workshop will take your through some simple steps to improve almost any image, whether you are going to view it on a display or print it. Using readily available software you will see how you can improve most images with the click of a button, but take you to the next step to add some drama or special effects to your images. We'll cover simple tools to remove unwanted objects, remove red-eye, brighten up a dull sky and other improvements.

The workshop will be for you to view and listen to rather than being hands on. Follow up notes will remind you what can be done.

Before attending the workshop it would be great if you could email up to 3 images that can be used to demonstrate what can be done. As an example you could send one image that you feel is not very good (but might have some potential), one that seems fine (and we'll see if we can make it even better) and one that you are fairly satisfied with (again we'll try to push it a bit further).  It's not essential and you are not going to be judged on the images - it just brings things more to life if we use what you have.

There is no charge for the event, which is aimed at Beech Hill residents and will take place in Beech Hill Memorial Hall. As before, once we know the numbers attending from Beech Hill, there will probably be space for others. so register anyway and we can sort out the numbers later.
